Facebook seems to have had yet another update. Fewer and fewer people are able to see some of their favorite sites, and that includes Crunchy Frugalista. I put together a tutorial on how you can adjust some settings to make sure you can find all of your great Crunchy Updates!
First thing to do, once you like the page, is to click on the like button. You will see a drop down menu. Make sure the “show in newsfeed” has a check mark by it.
After you have verified that, click the cog looking icon next to where it says “message”. You are going to add this page to your interests. Click Add to Interest, then keep it on “selected” and then click next at the bottom. Then give a name to your group. We chose “favorite blogs.”
Now you will see a list in the left hand column, left of your newsfeed that is labelled “Interests”. Then you will see “favorite blogs” under there. To see all of your favorite blogs updates, you just click on that button! You will get all of the updates all of the time!
This is the only way that I have found capable of combating the constant Facebook changes. I know a lot of my favorite blogs that I KNOW I interact on, still manage to disappear each time Facebook changes how they format the news feeds. If you are sick and tired of losing your favorites, then take the five minutes to make a list of interests, and you can go straight to them every day. It’s like your own personalized news feed!
