The P&G Brand of products have been a favorite of mine for about as long as I can remember. When I turned 13 my first tube of lipstick was given to me by my mom. It was this bright pink lipstick, which looked awful on me, but it was best thing in the world. To me, that Cover Girl lipstick symbolized that I was growing up. To everyone around me, it symbolized that my mom didn’t know how to pick out lipstick for a 13 year old! (That’s a story for another post)

As I got older, I tried a lot of other great P&G products. Not because their company sent me some goodies to try, but because they were products that my mom had used. My Nana was always telling me how important it was to moisturize your skin that way I didn’t get old and wrinkly like she was. (At the tender age of 14 that was a horrifying thought!) She always had Oil of Olay on her night stand, so of course because she used it I had to. To this day, I still put on Oil of Olay every morning after my shower. If I don’t, my face gets all tight and itchy. That stuff works wonders.

When I became a mom, I was blessed with two little girls. One of these darling has a SEVERE dust allergy, and of course that meant this momma had to learn how to dust. Swiffer dusters are my go to for this. They make my life so much easier. I even developed a crochet pattern to make your own covers for them! Keeping dust away from my youngest is essential, and it would be such a pain in the butt (well more likely arms) if I didn’t have my Swiffer!

How does that saying go? Diamonds are a girls best friend? Well, of course they are. That why it was ingenious for Diamond Candles to put a diamond ring in each and every one of their soy candles.

Recently, I was able to try out Diamond Candles. Although I am sad to report I didn’t score a $10,000 diamond, I am happy to say that I did score an amazing candle. Diamond Candles are 100% soy wax so they burn much cleaner than parafin candles. Parafin is a by product of drilling for petroleum. As soon as I found that out, I have been a fan of 100% soy candles ever since.

Diamond Candles are fragrant but not overpowering. My daughter has severe allergies, so we can’t really have anything that is too perfume like in the house. These candles gave a nice subtle aroma to our home. It wasn’t like it hit you in the face as soon as you walked in the door.

The candles are such a neat idea. Usually my 9 year old blows out my candles. Once I told my kids there was a diamond ring in there, they wouldn’t let me put it out!

The candles had an amazing burn time as well.It burned WELL over 24 hours, and we still have at least a quarter of a candle left!

A BIG WITH A LOT OF SASS

I was able to try a Gigi Hill bag, and I have to say it looks fabulous! Normally I carry only one purse, and that one in particular because it is so versatile. Fashionable handbags seemed to leave my wardrobe once I had kids. Who had time to have a great handbag and a diaper bag? Not this girl!

The bag that I selected was the Ginger Cross Body bag in black. It is absolutely fabulous. It’s great for my on the go schedule because it crosses your body. Plus it is absolutely huge inside. My husband calls all my purses “the pit”, and this one definitely fits in that family. I am going to have fun shopping for things to put IN my new bag!

HOW CUTE IS THIS?

This bag is fun and flirty, it’s a smaller tote that you can throw over your shoulder for a quick bag on the go. I am not normally one for patterns, but I really this one is really cute! Even the fact that it has a different pattern in the inside drew my eye.

Gigi Hill makes really quality bags that are sure to last you a lifetime. (Well, at least a really long time) . They are a little bit more pricey, but trust me they are worth every penny!

I had the opportunity recently to try the new Silk Fruit and Protein drinks. I will be the first to admit that I am not a fan of soy based products. A few years back I was traumatized by a Starbucks barista that didn’t realize that soy milk burns quickly and had a bad soy latte experience. Since then, I hadn’t really attempted to enjoy the soy deliciousness again.
