Silk Fruit and Protein Review: You would never guess it was soy!

I had the opportunity recently to try the new Silk Fruit and Protein drinks. I will be the first to admit that I am not a fan of soy based products. A few years back I was traumatized by a Starbucks barista that didn’t realize that soy milk burns quickly and had a bad soy latte experience. Since then, I hadn’t really attempted to enjoy the soy deliciousness again.

Being the fruit afficionado that I am, I figured what the heck, I would try Silk’s new Fruit and Protein line. I am definitely glad that I did.

When my coupons came in, I ran off to the store with children in tow and let them grab which flavors they wanted. The new Fruit and Protein drinks had Mixed Berry, Strawberry, and Mango and Peach to choose from. My little monsters snatched up their favorite flavors and we headed for home.

I am shocked that they even made it in the door before they devoured these new scrumptous beverages. Let’s just say that the three that we brought home didn’t last 2 days! The best part about it, is that my kids had NO idea that it was soy that gave these great new drinks the protein. They just thought they were enjoying a great new fruit drink.  Sneaky mommy, I know haha!

If you are looking for a great way to get some protein in your family’s diet, the new Silk Fruit and Protein is a fantastic way to do it. It is really delicious, and would be a great base for smoothies as well!

My favorite flavor is the strawberry and banana because those are my two favorite fruits. When I make smoothies at home, that’s what I have.

  5. Danielle Murgia says:

I like the mango peach. We also like the strawberry banana, it doesn’t have a strong banana taste. The mixed berry is great too!

Mixed berry is my favorite, I love the taste of raspberry :-)
