We all know those people in our lives that treat their pets as if they were human. You know, the ones that talk to their dogs like they can really answer. Yep, those that have stockings on their mantle for Spike and Fido too. Well, I have a confession to make, I am one of those people!
My husband and I have been together for five years. We have three great kids, but they are all from previous relationships. We always joke that our “children” are our furry ones, our dogs! (He knows if we ever get divorced, I am so getting custody of the dogs )
We are both crazy about our bulldogs! Our oldest bulldog, Decker, is 6 years old and we rescued him from a family that didn’t want him anymore. He is the biggest slobbery lover muffin you have ever laid eyes on. He is a little over obsessed with his toys, but he is an amazing dog.
Our second is a miniature bulldog, Llyr (leer). He’s one year old, and things he rules the roost. He ironically is the alpha dog in the house, and he is on speed some days I swear! That dog can go from zero to Velociraptor in 2.3 seconds.
The boys definitely keep our lives interesting. Llyr is part pug, so his pug tongue is too big for his mouth. As a puppy, he would sit around the house with his tongue wagging out of his mouth. It looked like he was sticking his tongue out at you. It is hilarious, that’s why he was the star of our family’s holiday card this year!
We call Decker jaws of steel. Once he has his grip on things there is NO chance of getting it out of his mouth. Trust me, even my 6’4 ex-Marine husband can’t pry the jaws of death open. Actually it makes for great party tricks. Decker will grab a hold of a rope, and my husband can lift him off of the ground. You see rope toy on one end, and 60 pound bulldog on the other. He is so stubborn. He refuses to let go.
Now that I have confessed my slightly insane passion for my fur babies, I have to tell you that I am really picky about what treats I give them. Cesar came out with the best dog treats. They are Cesar Cookie Crunchies, and they are great training treats. My boys love them.
We have been able to use them to repotty train the dogs, and teach them new tricks. If Decker is being stubborn and won’t come when I call him, all I have to do is shake that treat back and man he comes running.
These amazing dog treats come in Filet Mignon and Rotisserie Chicken Flavor. My boys don’t care which flavor they get as long as they get some! Of course being their fur mommy if they are happy I am happy.
If you have been looking for some new treats for your fuzzy ones, you should really head to your local store and look for Cesar Cookie Crunchies. Your best friends will thank you!
I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Cesar and received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
