Shameless – ‘We Have a Proposition’ by thewbdotcom
The life at the Gallagher household is anything but peaceful. It’s the chaos that makes this show the collection of hilarity that it is, but man I would not want to be in Fiona’s shoes! I am not sure how that girl keeps it together.
What I really don’t understand is when Steve tries to convince her to go away with him to the bliss that is Costa Rica! She ponders it, what woman in her right mind wouldn’t?! After thinking about and coming THIS close to going, she changes her mind and heads back to crazy land. Um, I mean her family.
Part of me was screaming at the TV, yes I mean literally, when she decided to go back, but another part of me really couldn’t blame her. Coming from a strong sense of family myself, it would be so hard to run away from that even if it’s the more “normal”, less stressful option. My family has its quirks, but it’s still my family. I probably would’ve done the exact same thing that Fiona did! I definitely would’ve been torn, but I think in the end that I would’ve chosen family. Fiona knows that the family relies so much on her, and while that is a lot of pressure, the Gallaghers really do have a family bond even if it’s a strange one!
