I will readily admit that I am in love with taking pictures. The problem is I hardly ever print them out and share them with my family.
When my computer crashed six months ago, the only way I was able to save any memories were from the photo albums that I had on my Facebook account. Some of them were really great memories that I would’ve been really upset if I wasn’t able to resave them. (Lesson learned, back up your data A LOT)
There’s a new photo app on Facebook, that I think is really neat. It’s called PhotoPad. It takes photos from your albums on Facebook, and helps you make a customized virtual photobook that you can share with friends and family.
This app is not only really neat, it’s also really fast and easy to use! My whole photo book took less than 5 minutes to upload photos, customize, and share with my family. Even I am really busy, but I think I can find five minutes every now and then to put together a photo book every now and then. (It’s definitely worth getting my mom off my case about getting her pictures of her grandchildren!)
To use the PhotoPad application, log into your Facebook account and give authorization to launch the application. Once it’s authorized PhotoPad loads some of your albums for you.
The next step is to pick which ones you want to use. Then drag and drop them into the empty spots on the page. It took me two seconds, well not literally, to grab these photos of my kids from Halloween last year. There was even a spooky looking background that I picked to match the theme of the pictures.
If you don’t feel your book is complete with out a little of your snark in there, never fear. To add your own commentary, you just click the area that says “add text here,” and then type away. You can move the box, enlarge it, and even customize the font. Make sure to put the really embarrassing comments under the pictures of the kids. Trust me they will thank you later for it.
If you want to learn a bit more about PhotoPad, make sure to check out the PhotoPad Facebook page. What pictures are you excited about adding to your PhotoPad book? Can’t wait to get started? Then head over to the PhotoPad application, then share a link so we can all check out your awesome books!
