Hi there, I'm Ashley I'm the chick that writes Crunchy Frugalista. Some think me slightly crazy for everything I do. You know homeschooling, working from home, and parenting three special needs kids like it's hard or something.
When I am not trying to keep my sanity, I am spending time with the hubby aka Mr. Crunchy, or we're galavanting around the great state of Minnesota!
So, if you are looking for a sarcastic wit, inspiriational ideas, and tons of crafts/recipes/random stuff then make sure to check Crunchy Frugalista out!

I can’t shop at just one place for groceries. I’m all over the place! But I do use a lot of coupons (:
Grocery shopping is one of things on my least favorite things to do list. So I try to get it over at one store lol
We do watch a lot of television but we also balance it with getting outdoors and spending quality time together without the TV on.
Yup, it is all about balance. We have to remind ourselves to unplug everynow and then
I have to shop at more than one place for groceries. I’m always afraid I am missing a great deal!
I used to be like that. Now I just see which store has the best deals in one place, and save money on gas
These are interesting questions. I am with you about the television. I watch way too much of it!
Yeah, glad I am not alone in my addiction
If I were on a desert island I would want my hubby, my computer with wifi to stay in touch with my family and a maid to do all of the work for us.
I am with ya on the maid. Do we have to be on a desert island for that one? I could use one now
Okay, here goes…1. I shop for groceries once a week….accept when I run out of things or want to try a recipe I just found or my kids teacher says they need cookies for cookie day this week. Usually this means I am at the grocery store twice a week at least.
2. Alcohol? Hmmm, probably mid teens at the neighborhood block party when 6 of us were brave enough to steel a can of beer from the cooler. But, I was pretty much anti alcohol til I hit college
3. i watch very little TV. less than an hour a day
4. I relieve stress by reading which is way more fun than TV in my mind!
5. On a desert island I want a laptop with a wifi so I can stay connected and read without leaving the comfort of my sand bar. I want my how to stay alive in the woods book so I can hunt and gather (and run screaming when whatever I am trying to hunt chases back!) and a pillow. If I am going to be alone on an island I am going to take advantage of my free time and NAP!
Great answers! I envy you on the TV thing. I so need to break my habit. I could get so much more done if I did!
I didn’t realize Acting Balance did this! (Where have I been!?) I will have to check out more of these and join the link up! This sounds fun!
Leila, Yeah, I just found it last week. It’s actually a lot of fun. I am getting to know a lot of great bloggers and readers!
if I were stranded I would definitely want my family with me! A cell phone might be nice too
Cell phones would be awesome to call some handsome stranger to save the day
On a desert island I’d want a satellite phone so I can call for help, my Nook with a full “to read” list in case it takes a while for help to arrive and a big bag of pretzel M&Ms so I’d have both pretzels and chocolate protected from the sun and heat. Of course it’s a hot desert island. If it was cold, how did *I* get there??
I always have the TV on.
Three things on a desert island…water filtration system, a big time Swiss Army knife and a copy of War & Peace. Thanks for participating in the MQAM and we invite you to please come back next week.
wow so random. my biggest stress reliever is makeup
I don’t make up the questions, lol I just answer them haha. Curious to hear how makeup is your stress reducer. I haven’t heard that one before
I love me some TV! I have ADD & OCD too! We sound like a fun pair LOL
Oh, Tara we could definitely get in some trouble together
I would need my Nook for reading, a toiletry bag complete with soap, toothpaste, and toothbrush for personal hygiene, and coffee for my sanity.
Yeah, I couldn’t live without toothpaste. Nothing worse than a gritty yucky mouth
I think we have a picture of every one of our kids with a beer bottle in their mouths….they were all empty. Empty beer bottles are great for a teething baby!! lol
I never would’ve thought of them for teething. Mine was actually a can of beer. Not sure what they were thinking haha. It’s kind of a family inside joke now.
If I were stuck on a desert island, I would need some water, food and something to write with.
Very pratical answers. I think you would be the only one to survive out of all of us that answered
I can’t shop at just one store either. There are three that I regularly shop at. I don’t watch tv much at all, other than three shows & I would hope that I never get stranded on a desert island because I have a HUGE phobia of boats and water.
My husband, My kids and god cause he can get us through anything.
