Even though we homeschool our family has an after school snack. Depending on how much school work that we do during the day, we usually end our school day an hour or so after lunch.

My kids did attend some public school in their early elementary years, and they like to keep some of the same rituals that they had while in school. That’s why we still have  ”after school snacks“. It was always something the kids enjoyed, so we continued the tradition.

With all the great sales, I figured I would stock up on some Hot Pockets. All of my kids really like them, and they are really easy for them to make and eat without me having to be there. As usual, off to Walmart we go.

I love the fact my husband is ok with driving me all over the place. Being in a cast can really put a damper on a girl’s shopping habits. Anyway, right after we got to Walmart we headed to the frozen foods section. We are frequent visitors here, so we know right where the #HotPocketSnacks are at!

It had been a while since we had really taken a look at all the flavors that they offer. We were really surprised to see things like pretzel breads and bite size snackers. Hubby was just dying to try the pretzel breads, so we grabbed one of those. Then we grabbed my son and daughter’s favorites; ham and cheese, and pepperoni.

We always seem to go to Walmart with one thing on the list to get, but end up getting so much more! As we were walking around, I noticed that the fall decorations were out. I love decorating for fall, so I had to take a look. Look at this really cute sign that I found.

After all the walking around, it was time to checkout. We almost always use the self checkouts. Not sure why, but we just seem to get through the line faster. Again it was a lot easier for Mr. Crunchy to do it rather than me. I might’ve toppled a display over or something.

After we got home, we barely got the Hot Pockets out of the bag before Brenden, our son, was ready to devour them. Actually I don’t even think Mr. Crunchy ever got to try those pretzel bread pockets. They were gone long before he ever had a chance to enjoy one!

  1. I am a huge fan of things that make our busy lives a little easier. :)

We’ll have to try these next time we go to Walmart (all the time!).

    Thanks for sharing!

You’re very welcome. We always have a stash just in case of emergencies in the house. So when life gets hectic we have a back up plan ;)

  2. Sarah says:

Hot Pockets are great for quick snacks, though I prefer Lean Pockets since they don’t destroy my nutrition goals but are still pretty tasty. I never thought of them for after school snacks though! Thanks!

  3. krystle says:

We love potato skins, the potato skin bites look amazing!

  4. I’ve enjoyed Hot Pockets since I was a kid :) Now I tend to buy Lean Pockets if I buy them. I love that they have a “slimmed down” version that tastes good! They’re perfect for those days you just don’t have more than 3 minutes to throw something in the microwave (and as busy moms, that’s probably more often than we’d like!).

  5. My kids love eto have hot pockets on hand so they can grab and go.

  6. I love grabbing a hot pocket too… my daughter eats them after school, but I love grabbing them when I need a quick meal too!

  7. Jeana says:

I used to love eating these as a kid because they were so quick and easy. I love that they are still around for kids to enjoy!

  8. Alicia says:

Those pretzel bread ones look yummy! I’m going to have to try that kind:)

  9. I love the pretzel bread Hot Pockets!
