It is always refreshing to me to find a brand that has something to stand for. A brand that is trying to make a loud, clear statement about what their company and their product stand for. That is what I found to be true about Flip Flop Wines. Flip Flop Wines is not just another wine brand; they are a brand that incorporates the “reduce, reuse, recycle” motto into their business. Plus, they are a brand that even takes the time to give back by being an amazingly generous sponsor in the Soles4Souls charity campaign!

David Georges, founder of Flip Flops Wines, is a native Southern Californian. He is a down to earth vintner, with a passion for each and ever bottle that he makes.  He developed Flip Flop Wines to be “good wines that fit into everyday life.” He uncomplicates wines, and makes them something that anybody can relax with while kicking back in their flip flops eating macaroni and cheese. No caviar needed here! Flip Flop Wines has even incorperated a great sweet to dry scale on the back of each bottle so that anyone could pick up a bottle, and see what type of wine they are purchasing!

David not only makes reasonably priced wines, that everyone can enjoy, he really has an artful hand at the fruits that he delicately blends to craft his wines!

The first wine I tried was the Reisling. I am a white wine girl myself, but I mainly enjoy sweet wines. This wine was a slightly dryer sweet wine, but was absolutely amazing! Even though this wine is slightly toward the dryer of the sweet wines, it was still remarkably smooth. It is a very refreshing wine, that is colored with hints of peach, melon, and apricot. It had a very suave, velvety finish about it that made me refill my glass! I couldn’t put it down!

For the other bottles of wine, I, of course, had to see what my friends thought of this amazing line of products. So

what better reason to get the girls together, and have a blast experiencing this great brand and enjoy good company!

Denise and Linda tried the Pinot Noir. Neither one are normally red wine drinkers, but found this wine to be rather pleasant. They enjoyed the “supple, velvety” finish of the wine, and the sweet spice and hints of cherry. Denise said it best, “it’s like butter! Just smooth and velvety!”

Last up was the Pinot Grigrio! This was my other favorite! I loved the dancing flavor of citrus and pear that tickled my tastebuds. It is a vibrant wine, that is absolutely refreshing, and I could pair with almost any meal! Relaxing and comforting, fine wine taste for a frugalista budget. I highly recommend this wine to anyone that would love to develop their taste for the comforting things in life!

Beyond their array of exciting flavors, I respect the brand of Flip Flop Wines for what they stand for. They purchase a lot of the ingredients for their wines at local farmer’s markets, which supports agriculture and the environment. They also support great causes like Soles4Souls! Flip Flop Wines is a brand that I highly recommend for those that have been wine lovers for years and even those that are interested in trying wine. David was amazingly successful at taking the intimidation factor away from wine and wine tasting. He takes a field that is normally full of rituals and “rights and wrongs” and makes it something that anyone can enjoy kicked back, relaxed with  just a simply amazing flavor invigorated glass of wine!

Loved all three wines I tried – the Pinot Noir, the Reisling, and the Pino Grigrio. They were all very tasty wines and I heartily recommend them. I was especially taken with the Pinot Noir, which was a surprise as I’m a white wine girl. I really don’t like the oak in most of the red wines I’ve tried. However this was smooth and delicious. Thanks for the recommendation, Ashley!
