HexbugsMy son has been begging for Hexbugs as soon as he heard about them. To be quite honest, I really wasn’t sure what the heck they were all about. I really didn’t get it. They are just these little robotic bugs that would probably get lost or squashed, what’s the big deal?

Well I was lucky enough to try one out, and I have to admit I think they are pretty cool now. If you are looking for toys that are fun and educational, Hexbugs is the place to go. The best part is the fact your kids won’t even realize that they are learning!

Hexbug Hive Habitat

The Hexbug Nano Hive Habitat is really awesome. It’s the first transportable habitat set, and it comes with one rare Hexbug mutation. I find the fun and educational value of this set go hand in hand.

My son is 10 and he loves to build! He also loves bugs. (Don’t most boys?) Well this set allows him to learn about the microtechnology of Hexbugs, and allows him to build his own little Hexbugster universe. The Hexbug Nano Hive habitat allows the kids to make two levels of  fun by placing the 16 pegs that come with the set. It also comes with 2 merry-go-rounds for the little creepy crawlies to scurrying around in.

The Hive habitat becomes it’s own little buggy, robotic ecosystem. I know my son can’t wait to get his hands on his new set. Even with his short attention span, I know that this toy is going to keep him intrigued for hours!

Boys can be difficult to shop for! If you are looking for a toy that please both the parent and the kids, Hexbugs are the way to go. It’s a great toy that has an educational aspect that engages kids imagination and will provide hours of fun!
