I love decorating my new home, but as most of you know it can get really expensive pretty quickly. Shoot, most matting and framing can cost at least $60 depending on the size and the frame you choose.
I recently went to a conference, and found this amazing fairy picture that I just had to have! The artist was selling the prints for $3 each or you could get one with a frame for $75. Way to frugal for that kind of price tag, so I paid my $3 and took my print home!
Before I get too far, I have to share with you that Goodwill is your best friend. Ok, repeat after me “Goodwill is my best friend.” Think I am nuts, you won’t when I am done showing what awesome goodies I have found at my local thrift store.
Goodwill, or your local thrift store, is a mecca for home decor items. Lots of them can be reused and/or repurposed to fit right in to your style and design in your home. It is especially a honey hole for picture frames.
I love pictures! Any kids, but frames are so darned expensive. That’s why I head to Goodwill a few times a month to see what they have. This week, I was able to pick up a large frame with matting for only $6! Plus, I am going to share with you just how I turned this old yucky frame and photo into a great framed piece of unique artwork. Just check out how to make your very own in this great instructographic!
